CAF Award 2023, What You Should Know.

Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhem has won the CAF 2023 men's player of the year award.

He saw off competition from Morocco Acheaf Hakimi, Senegal Sadio Mane, and Egypt Mohamed Salah, among importance others.

The 24 years old standing at 1.85m has indeed stood tall among his peers with the award coming after a lengthy 24 years wait since super Eagle legend, Kanu Nwankwo last received the honor in 1999.

The Nigeria striker had a thunderous from in the last 2022/2023 football season. He helped his Italian club side Napoli with their third scudetto 33 years after the era of the late Argentinan legend, Diego Maradona 

Osimhem registered 26 goals in the league, becoming the first African to win the top scorer award in the domestic serie A league. 

Nigeria goalkeeper, Chimamaka Nnadozie also bag the award of the goalkeeper of the year (women). A Paris FC goalkeeper having 1.8m and 23years. According to her Twitter handle she said

Another person on the list is Asisat Oshoala a 29 years old Barcelona player, who join the club in the year 2019 and is still doing well. Has won the CAF 2023 player of the year (women).

And the National team of the year(women) was Nigeria.
