The Nigerian Presidency has committed to removing Nigeria from the FATF Grey List before the May 2025 deadline. Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila assured that efforts would be intensified to address deficiencies related to money laundering and terrorism financing. The Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) has already implemented 30% of the required action plan, with plans to accelerate efforts in the coming months.
