UNICEF Warns of Rising School Dropout Rates in Southwest Nigeria.


UNICEF has raised concerns over the 8-15% dropout rate among adolescents in primary and secondary schools in Southwest Nigeria, including states like Ekiti, Oyo, and Lagos. 
Despite high enrollment rates, retention and completion remain challenges. UNICEF is advocating for improved funding and targeted interventions to address these issues, emphasizing the need for quality education and vocational training for at-risk children.
