Rivers State Oil Output Threatened Amid Violence – Fubara


Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State warned that oil production could be at risk if violence continues, after four local government secretariats were set on fire by thugs. A seven-member judicial commission has been established to investigate the arson. Fubara emphasized the importance of peace, urging the public not to respond with violence. He also highlighted the negative impact of oil theft on the economy, stressing the need for unity to tackle the issue. Meanwhile, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike blamed Fubara for the political crisis in the state.
